Raga - intuitive access to a specific traditional subtle and specific universe improvisational skill, aesthetic sense, imagination and freedom of movement within raga

Respect for and identification with guru or ideal

Stage presentation and entertaining factor

Humility - access to bhava

Power of relying on and conveying subtle personal emotional vision in apparent "slowness" and "awkwardness" onto a restless public waiting to be "entertained" - but not giving in to entertainment gimmicks.

Ability to bring a high art of old days to life and have it make sense in a universal and contemporary way.
